The documented turnstile uses a modular, bolt-together design. Relocation needs to be planned around dismantling, transport, the next site’s footing and power, and recommissioning.

A construction site turnstile is a controlled pedestrian entrance installed within the site boundary. A full-height turnstile uses a rotating steel barrier. With PLEXA access control, the configured reader checks the arriving worker against their site permissions before allowing passage. Gate, reader and operating requirements are confirmed for each installation.

Plan the turnstile as part of a continuous fence line or hoarding. Check the opening, approach, connections beside the gate and adjoining pedestrian access. Share a site plan and photographs so footing, anchoring and fence connections can be scoped. Confirm who supplies the fencing and completes each part of the installation.

PLEXA connects worker registration and induction approval with site access permissions. Your team reviews the required information and approves the worker. The configured reader and turnstile then use those permissions at the entrance. Confirm the approval rules, credentials and process for expired or incomplete inductions during setup.

A connected entrance can include the turnstile, access reader and controller, PLEXA software, connectivity and site attendance records. Installation, power, civil works and ongoing services need an agreed scope. Ask for an itemised proposal showing equipment, setup, recurring services and the responsibilities of your team and suppliers.

The price depends on lane count, gate configuration, readers, site preparation, installation and ongoing technology services. PLEXA quotes for the project rather than publishing one package price for every site. Send the location, layout, expected timing and number of lanes to request a relevant proposal.

Operating behaviour depends on the selected gate, reader, controller and connection setup. Before installation, confirm what happens during power failure or a network outage, how access is restored and how attendance exceptions are reconciled. Record the agreed procedures with the site team rather than assuming every configuration behaves the same way.
